When I started my network marketing business, my mentor told me to, “Search for Eagles, Pete. Search for eagles.” Another mentor told me we need to find Stallions, not carriages!! You don’t need to be pulling people along you want to find people who go on their own with power and energy.
What did Jim Rohn say? “You might be able to carry two on your back, but you can’t carry three!!”
In the end yours, and my business will grow much better if you have independent network marketing eagles who required no motivation, just the vehicle to promote. The best available product and the most reliable and supportive company.
My mentor was an Eagle. He gave up a $30000 a month business to move to my last company. He went all in, full time, from the beginning and within a year he was one of the worlds top leaders!
Jim Rohn said, “Good people are found not changed. They can change themselves, but you can’t change them. You want good people, you have to find them. If you want motivated people, you have to find them, not motivate them.”
Trying to turn a cat into a dog is impossible. You can’t turn a little sparrow into an Eagle and teach it to fly high and soar to success. You can teach a baby eagle to fly!
I think I was in one of those categories – a sleeping eagle. I was reasonably successful in a small ticket internet tools network marketing business and then my mentor opened up my mind to the possibilities of earning a high 6 figure income per year. I dreamed of that happening but he showed me that it could be a reality and with his support my life has changed to the point where I have achieved goals that I could not even imagine in the beginning.
Since I began my current business, LiveGood I simply followed my mentors guidance and advice and added my own online strategies to the mix and I began to fly. Now I have attracted more people like me. I have a number of leaders in my group who have caught the Eagle DNA and soared to success – now independent of me but close friends as we seek new Eagles to join our global team.
So what are the qualities of a Network Marketing Eagle?
1. Coachable and Eager To Learn
Tony Robbins says –
Secret #1: The surest way to achieve success is to model someone who is already successful. If you don’t have good models, find someone who is the best in your chosen field and emulate them. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel – simply learn from the best.
Secret #2: Ask someone who can help you. Whatever you want in life, someone has already discovered how to get it — and you want to figure out what they are doing right. Someone can likely save you time and pain with the knowledge they’ve gained in their own experiences, but understand that their time is valuable. First, figure out how you can help them, add value to their life, and then they will be more likely to help you.
Secret #3: Success leaves clues. People who succeed consistently are not lucky; they’re doing something different than anyone else. They have a strategy that works, and if you follow their strategy and you sow the same seeds, then you’ll reap the same rewards.
So I didn’t need to create my own strategies, I just needed to listen and copy what worked for my mentor!
2. They Are Motivated And Are Willing To Work Hard!
Part time or full time, Eagles are workers. They find the time to focus on their network marketing business not matter what is before them. No matter what barriers they face, the Eagle persists and flies on regardless.
Network Marketing Eagles understand that as long as they keep going the benefits of their hard work will manifest into achieving their dream goals.
3. They Are Independent Minded
My team leaders are not shrinking violets. They don’t wait for me to take action. They show initiative and, once they have the training, they are up and running. They take responsibility for their own business and realised that: “IF IT IS TO BE IT’S UP TO ME!”
4. They Realise That It Is Depth , Not Width Where The Money Is
It is all about training and nurturing a team to stay and drive your business deep. I shared my thoughts on this in my post about the Key Ingredients To Network Marketing
Just like that great teacher , Zig Ziglar shared all those years ago. “You don’t build a business. You build People. Then the people build your business.”
As you support people as deep in your organisation as you are able, so will those Eagles emerge and often it is someone on your 5th level or below, depending upon your compensation plan of course, that can make the big difference in your business. That is why top networkers do a bit of “gifting” and trainings that help people very deep in their organisation because they know, somewhere down the line, someone will know someone who knows a sleeping or baby Eagle!
If you are a sleeping or baby Eagle, share in the comments below your thoughts on this post. I would be keen to hear your views and how perhaps this website may help you.
