This week I have been awakened through a new mentor and training course that perhaps I would have benefitted from a while ago. They say when the student is ready, the teacher appears.

This was true for me 10 years ago when my Enagic sponsor encouraged me to join him in our Kangen Water adventure. He appeared in my life at just the right time. I was desperate financially and not in a good place health wise.

Our business changed all that.

Now I have just begun a new journey with a mentor who knows more about marketing in his little finger than I have ever learned before.

I was ready!

More about that at a later date.

New Opportunities

One of the things I have been closed to are the endless pitches I receive on new network marketing opportunities. I have never bought into the multiple streams of network marketing income. Other streams of income, yes, but mixing MLM opportunities just screams to me that initial promises didn’t work so let’s try another one!

I especially find it amusing that members of my own organisation, who haven’t applied the training and strategies within it, pitch me for a new MLM opportunity when they have clearly not succeeded in anything before or likely never will because they do not apply themselves or think long term.

Multiple streams of income is good in my view. Add an affiliate programme or two, especially training programmes that help with marketing your current MLM.  Invest in whatever you want, property, stocks and financial markets etc. Be open to those.

So, I am open, but it will take something very appealing, something I can be passionate about, something I can find integrity with, something that I can confidently share with my best friends without feeling a twinge of doubt!

What Does It Take To Succeed In Network Marketing?

The clue is in the name.

1. We need to Network. We need to seek out other like minded souls who want to build an entrepreneurial business.

2. We need to Market. However you prefer to do that there are multiple ways of learning how to Market your business.

Being open to change in the way you approach these two things will help you grow your network marketing business on a daily basis.

A couple of my mentors shared similar wisdom when I asked for their success secrets in our industry.

1. My direct sponsor told me there were 3 things I had to do to succeed. 1. Talk to people. 2. Talk to people. 3. Talk to people

2. His sponsor asked me: ” How many strangers do you know?” We were in London where 8 million people live! There were 8 million strangers.

He also told me to seek resellers. There is faster growth when you seek out people who want to get rich through marketing your product! Much slower if you are going to sell one product at a time.

Grant Cardone says: CONTACTS = CONTRACTS! In other words if you don’t build your list you will never sell a product, opportunity or deal of any kind. Building your contact list is THE most vital thing for any business owner.

It is all about LEADS, LEADS, LEADS!!!

On top of that, you need to build relationships.

So…..

I have opened myself up to new marketing strategies and training

I have filled up the last few days with new training. Challenged myself to embracing new strategies. New work ethic. New approaches. I am being open to doing things I feel uncomfortable with.

This has forced me to get uncomfortable in many ways but particularly in making NEW TARGETS. Uncomfortable and very challenging targets.

And as I come out of the other side of all this, I will be sharing it with you. Ways in which YOU can succeed in our industry, the network marketing industry.

How we can help our customers through our products. Help our team members grow. Serve them all and reap the rewards!

Do Something Different

Many years ago, when I was in the corporate world of management, I was given the task of turning round a failing business.

It was a really different culture to what I was used to. The staff were rough shodding over the management and there was very little focus and discipline.

At the time our management organisation was being trained by some management consultants. You know the thing. Balanced score cards, quality management. All that kind of stuff.

Anyway, I took the lead consultant to one side and asked him what would he do in my situation going into the workplace warzone!

He said: “Whatever you do, you must be seen to do something different on the first day. No matter how small or innocuous ”

And I did. It unsettled confidence in the rebels and brought in those who really wanted to do a good job.

Wherever I went, and I was an interim management consultant for a few years, when I initially went in the work place I changed something immediately. It got peoples attention and identified to me the people who wanted to do the work to the highest level.

I just found, not accepting the status quo was the best approach if you wanted to change things for the better and the sooner you do it the sooner you build a team of positive people around you.

So My Tip Today is:

GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE AND DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT! BE OPEN TO CHANGE!

Does that sound a little silly to you? A lot of people start a network marketing business without any targets – financial or rank goals. That’s not you, is it?

You see if you don’t have an end in mind then you don’t have the discipline to take the daily actions to achieve it.

I remember when I was coached by Tony Robbins appointed mentor she taught me to set a big goal and to chunk it down into achievable actions and goals.

So if your target is to earn a million dollars in say 2 years, then making that reverse engineering maths division will give you a monthly and weekly goal of sales or recruitments.

One of my targets for my primary network marketing business,  is to reach €1,000,000 of commissions in 2 years equals about 50/75 group sales per month depending upon the unit and rank of those making the sales. I have reached that goal quite often but now I need to make that consistent.

I have other business interests of course. So I will set targets for those and likewise plan my activities into daily actions on how I am to achieve them.

CLARITY IS THE KEY!

One of my mentors always talks about having clarity. Clarity of purpose. Clarity of understanding the actions needed to achieve specific goals.

I must admit I have been pretty lazy with my focus lately. I got comfortable. Enjoyed the fruits of 10 years work building up a residual income and dropped the ball on forward momentum.

That has changed today!

Why has it changed? I have started with a new mentor. So it has basically kicked me up the backside.

I am all newly focused with a definitely plan of action. Sometimes it just takes a little jolt to shake you into action.

The comfort zone is a definite killer of ambition and action, don’t you think?

So I am setting new long term targets with a daily action plan to get me there. Not so much golf and T.V. and more action steps to get me to some really challenging goals.

Thing is, it’ll be worth it.

CHUNKING IT DOWN

Whatever network marketing business you are partnering with at the moment they will have a compensation plan and a ranking system.

Why don’t you set a one year goal, say of achieving a 6 figure income per your first year in whatever currency you are going for -that’s $£€8,333 per month . Say reach 8,333 for the last month of the year and then maintain it for the following year and beyond.

What will it take in sales to make 8,333 a month in commissions? For me that is 4 direct sales a month or the equivalent in indirect sales. For you it may mean up to 50 autoships a month. Work it out.

Then reverse engineer it to what your daily targets are and then work out what actions you need to take to achieve that goal.

It may mean social media postings, messenger/linkedin connections, advertising, solo ads, emails, phone calls,presentations etc

Just work it out and stick to it until you have achieved your goal.

Remember what the great Jim Rohn said. It is all about percentages. If you make 10 calls and that results in 2 sales that is good…. because you can make 100 calls and then that makes 20 sales! Just work the percentages.

DAILY ACTION STEPS LEAD TO SUCCESS IN MLM

I honestly started this blog to help anyone wants to succeed in any network marketing business but I cannot disguise that it is great when some of my readers decide to join me in my business because thn I can help them directly.

But there is no real secret to succeeding in our industry. It is daily action steps on generating leads, making connections and closing sales.

Having a long term goal to work towards is vital so you can chunk down those daily action steps to achieve it.

Some daily action steps you could take:

1. Build your social media following by creating content to create engagement daily: Facebook, Instagram, Youtube especially

2. Reaching out via FB Messenger, Linkedin to make new connections and building relationships

3. Staying connected with your team and help keep them on track and motivated

4. Using ads to drive traffic to your marketing funnel

5. Build and communicate with your email list

6. Stay connected to your sponsor and upline and tap into your company training

The post What Is Your Target? Do You Really Know What You Are Aiming For? first appeared on Pete Chapman.

It has been the foundation of my life since I realised that you cannot really, truly find happiness if you do not treat people with respect and act within true principles.

The greatest teachers the world has ever known have taught the principles of love and forgiveness. Letting go. Living in the present. Being present. From the Buddha to Jesus to the greatest community leaders we have known. Martin Luther King, Mahatma Gandhi, Sister Teresa, Nelson Mandela all shared similar principles.

I cannot pretend that I have mastered all the teachings of our religious, spiritual or community leaders. I am certainly not perfect, but I try to live with this principle of #BeKind. Even though I often find it difficult I try to let go and live in the present.

I think this is my major difficulty – letting go of the past. So many regrets.

However I find that if I keep to my principles of #BeKind with my network marketing business, I have had no regrets. I lead with this principle in mind. I try to teach it as best I can. I try to find the time that everyone in my team needs, no matter how deep they are in my organisation.

This has sometimes meant that I have had to correct some people in my organisation as they have strayed from good principles to underhanded actions thinking that money making is what it is all about, when the reality is that build that LIKE, KNOW, TRUST thing is a forever activity not just ending at the initial sale!

My last post talked about those SLIDING DOOR moments. Different actions leading to different outcomes. I believe though, that as long as our decisions are considered, thoughtful and with a good heart, then most of the time they turn out in a good way.

My current network marketing business has served me well. It has led to me receiving a residual income from very little effort – even in times of difficulty where I couldn’t work – it has provided a good income for me and my family.

So, some tips if you want to use this principle in your network marketing business:

1. Accept people for who they are and where they are in our industry
2. Have patience with newbies
3. Be the best sponsor you can be. Whether you are top of the tree or just getting started. Care about those people who follow you and guide them as best you can
4. Lean on those above you who inspire you and have time to teach you. Just being one step ahead is giving you something you can teach others.
5. Work your business deep. By this I mean, do not neglect the team members who are recruited by others. Often they can become orphans without leadership as their sponsors neglect them. Keep them as active as possible through your leadership and guidance
6. Develop good communication systems to keep your team informed and supportive of one another. I use Whatsapp and Facebook groups but you can use any method you feel is useful to you.
7. Set as good an example as you are able. From your activity to your manner of work, from your patience and support of others.
8. Teach what has worked for you and as best as possible give examples of how it works.
9. Be honest in your dealings. Do not cross a line you will regret having done so later.
10. Be a stayer – don’t flit around from one business to another. If you stay the course, others will too.
11. Remember KARMA. For every action there is a reaction. Make your actions the right ones and the right results

I hope you have found this post to be useful. It has certainly reminded me of the principles I have tried to apply and set me back on course to be true to my original intentions and goals.

I took a step back in time today and reread Who Moved My Cheese by Dr Spencer Johnson. I was introduced to the book at work a very long time ago and I shared it with family. My daughter was having a clearout so I said I would have it and having read it again, I really appreciate the life lessons it brings for me right now. It might help you too!

Anyway, Change…. how do you manage it?

I think for marketers it really is a good thing to relook at what we are doing with our business because, just like Hem in the book, we can get stuck in a rut and the world begins to pass us buy. Little by little we can fall behind of the trends and advances in our industry and we can find it hard to update our approaches without a bit of pain.

On reading the book again I recognise that I have been in Hem mode for a few months and I need to begin to relook at how I am approaching my business because I don’t want to fall behind.

This Covid-19 pandemic has massively interrupted my Enagic business. I was doing regular offline seminars across the UK up until the UK lockdown started. So it has been really difficult to showcase my business by doing public presentations in live, physical situations and we have reverted to ZOOM presentations.

This reduces the connection to new customers but adaption has had to happen for sure as it is important that we don’t just give up but that we find new ways.  We  need to get back in the maze and search for New Cheese.

What Holds Us Back From Making Changes?

I think often there is a fear within us that stops us. I remember what Tony Robbins taught me many years ago. Decisions are made through the feelings of pleasure and pain.

So is it painful to change or is there pleasure in what lies ahead? W hat lies on the other side if we cast away our fear and take a step into the unknown?

One of the big decisions I have to consider this year is do I permanently move to Thailand for a new adventure or do I remain in the UK to continue to be nearer to my children and grandchildren? I am certainly in two minds and perhaps there is a little bit of Hem in me that resists making the move. Anyway, the decision will be made this year once the Covid situation has improved and I get answers to my questions. It may be a half way house of more time in Thailand to our house over there but treat out house there as a holiday home. Really not sure, but one thing is for certain, I WILL make a decision this year.

What decisions are you facing?

Are you happy with your current business? Do you need to make changes so that it works better for you? Perhaps you are looking for something new to plant your entrepreneurs hat on?

One thing is for sure, none of us can stand still and expect to have a forward projection in our lives.

When I worked as a leisure and sports industry manager I became passionate about quality management and I hung my hat on a Japanese word that kind of encompassed what I aimed for in the work place – Kaizen.

Kaizen means Continuous and Never Ending Improvement.

If we strive to be improving in all that we do then we will never stand still and our lives and work will continue to thrive. We used to talk about Total Quality Management, striving for perfection,  but in human terms, we know that perfection isn’t within us, we just need to be the best we can be. No-one is perfect.

So if we are a little like Haw and don’t stand still and keep searching, striving then we will not be left behind and we will have wonderful adventures.

I have been around a very long time – 73 years at the time of writing – and I have had many an adventure and in truth I really don’t want it to end.

So reading Who Moved My Cheese today really got me thinking what my next adventure will be. What my next business strategy will be? How am I going to keep advancing in my life to feel fulfilled each day.

It has given me a few ideas and that is what the book is all about, don’t you think? In fact all our learning, reading, watching, experiencing is designed to help us get further forward in our lives.

That is why I share these thoughts with you today. WE ALL DESERVE ADVENTURE IN OUR LIVES!

Standing still is not an option for us if we want to have experiences that are worth remembering in our last days! No regrets.

Like Stephen Covey shared in this 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People – BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND!

How will people remember you at the end? When you imagine yourself at your funeral what will be said? Will you have regrets?

Most Network Marketing training seems to be guiding entrepreneurs to aim for 6 figure a year income. It appears to be the measure of success in the industry, yet most people would be happy with a decent 5 figure income. $1000 to $5000 a month is not to be sniffed at, don’t you think.

I have many people in my network marketing team who are in that position as they get around $1000 for a direct or indirect sale of our middle of the range product.

So 6 figure incomes in a high ticket business, as I recommend, means you just need 5 t0 10 sales a month and in a network marketing environment these do not have to be direct sales as similar commissions are earned from the sales your team makes.

To make a 6 figure income from a low commission network marketing business is a far greater challenge as commissions can be as low as 10% and the requirements on bonuses are often pretty challenging too.

Affiliate marketing also offers high ticket options. I am contacted constantly via facebook messenger prospecting tactics to try to attract me into these opportunities. Most of them are internet marketing education programmes which are full of upsells and complicated courses and strategies. Easy to become overwhelmed and quit on some of these. The other element of Affiliate Marketing is that there are not indirect commissions. So you constantly have to make the sales yourself.

Currently 90% of my income comes from indirect sales because I did a ton of work at the beginning to build my business full of resellers who had 6 figure ambition.

Hard Work Is The Key To Success

Unfortunately all that “Get Rich Quick” nonsense doesn’t apply in the network marketing industry. It doesn’t matter what company or compensation plan you have committed to, if you are not willing to put in the effort you will not enjoy the kind of success those 6 and 7 figure earners achieve.

What do you need to do?

You need to prospect continually. You need to find those ambitious entrepreneurs who mirror your ambition. Who are they? Who do you know? We obviously need to start there.

You know what they teach. Write down your list and invite them to check out your stuff…. product and/or business plan.

My Enagic business started with a list of network marketers I built over quite a few years – low ticket businesses in the main. So it was a big adjustment to us to upgrade our thinking but by the time I was in the business a year I was seeking new people to join me.

Within 2 years momentum had been achieved and my income wasn’t so much dependent upon MY efforts but the efforts of my team. That is the beauty about the network marketing industry.

Work hard at the beginning and you create momentum that you benefit from well into the future.

How much time are you devoting to your network marketing business to achieve your goals? Are you serious about achieving a 6 figure income?

No matter what product or network marketing company you represent.

My best recommendation with this is to have your compensation plan at hand and a notepad so you can begin to record what the action you are preprepared to take will give you in terms of compensation and your team build.

I watch this on a regular basis and I encourage my team to watch this in the same way. Many of my team have attended Eric Worre’s Go Pro seminars as a result.

And the impact that has been created in their lives is massive. They gain a real understanding of what is required to succeed but they are given strategies on how to achieve it.

So Now My Question Is – Are Your Serious?

Are you really ambitious? Are you prepared to work hard to achieve a big goal?

The post 6 Figure Income – Are You Ready To Work For It? first appeared on Pete Chapman.

Are you setting goals for yourself? We always should at least do that.  Right from leaving the Royal Air Force after 12 years of service, I found mentors who inspired me to make the most of my career and life.

First of all there was Brian Tracy, who taught me about how those who are successful are not lucky, but they are hardworking and determined individuals who use successful examplars as their template. Then there was Tom Peters who wrote A Search For Excellence who taught me about Total Quality Management a system of excellence which I introduced into the the Leisure Centres I managed. We achieved the first qualification in the Sport England QUEST quality standard in England!

Then I read Stephen Covey’s 7 habits of highly effective people which further helped me understand how I could improve my output, both in my work and family life….

and then came Tony Robbins’ Unleash The Power Within seminar. Totally life changing for me. My family and work colleagues thought I was mad because I went full on Californian for a while but forever positive outcomes came into my life following that seminar.

I left behind a 30 year career and went self Employed as a consultant and things just magnified in my life from that point.

What My Mentors Said About Setting Goals

The thing is…. all of these mentors, huge influencers in my life… taught me to set goals and to visualise them. Here are a few of their quotes on the subject.

“Goals are the fuel in the furnace of achievement.” — Brian Tracy

“Begin with the end in mind.” — Stephen Covey

“A goal properly set is halfway reached.” — Zig Ziglar

“People are not lazy. They simply have impotent goals—that is, goals that do not inspire them.” — Tony Robbins

Then there were these two quotations from two inspired dreamers who shared their imagery and visions with us through literature, pictures and film

“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” — C. S. Lewis

“A person should set his goals as early as he can and devote all his energy and talent to getting there. With enough effort, he may achieve it. Or he may find something that is even more rewarding. But in the end, no matter what the outcome, he will know he has been alive.” — Walt Disney

You are never to old to set another goal. As a 73 year old, I cling to that. I am never too old to dream a new dream and neither are you.

Is it time for you to set a new dream?

The thing is, you know the drill:

1. Specific

2.  Measurable

3.  Attainable

4. Relevant

5. Time-Bound

But what about the emotion, the feelings behind those goals. How do you gain passion and compassion around your important goals?

I think that is where a vision board comes in.

The Vision Board

I believe you must have a real image of your dream, your goal, your purpose in your mind.

You mustget emotionally connected with your dream. Like a child at Christmas it needs to have a clear picture and be a burning desire in your heart and mind. Most children get their desired Christmas presents don’t they. While we rely on the Universe to hear and see our dreams, the child just has their parents to doggedly remind for months and months on what is required at Christmas.

That is exactly what OUR heart and mind should occupy ourselves with in regard to our goals.

So our first exercise is to define our goals around the traditional method. My best guidance is to stay realistic because it hurts mentally to have a goal too far ahead of our ability in the short term.

For your achievable goals, stay within the year whilst having a longer term vision for your future so you can tick off the boxes towards it as you go along.

Once you have defined your goals now is the time to creatively inspire yourself with your vision board.

The technically gifted among us can create a vision board digitally but you really need to see it most of the day. Mine is on a board , along with a list of my short term goals in front of me at my work station. I cannot avoid it.

As I look at it now, I can see that within a few months at least 4 of my goals will be ticked off and it will be time to start again on the vision I have for Yada’s (my lovely wife) and my future.

Exciting times.

So I have:

1. business goals – that is mainly ranking upgrades in my primary network marketing business.

2. Financial goals – this involves developing other income streams outside NWM

3. Travel Goals – visiting a couple of special places in Thailand and the U.S.A.

4. Golf Goals – achieving a specific handicap and improving my bad golf. LOL

5. Building Extension on our Holiday Home and purchasing a new home in the UK.

Each of these a broken down into action steps to achieve them. I think that is important because without taking action nothing is going to change. Strategy is a must.

So now you can sit down, write your list and print off some pictures that depict you achieving them.

If you want a new house – find an ideal representation of that on the intenet and print it off and paste or pin it onto your chose board. Can be a simple whiteboard or pin board.

You need it in a prominent place . Somewhere you cannot avoid it!

Currently my board has my goal and action step print off in it. Don’t be too general. Images specific on those all important dreams and goals you plan to see happen this year and in the longer term future.

So now, I am going to go ahead and update my own vision board and give you an example of how I do it. You will see it below.

My vision board is all about achieving business goals by the end of 2021, travel to our holiday home in Thailand, visiting temples in Northern Thailand that Yada has set her heart around, travelling to visit my son in Arizona and going to Yellowstone Park again (my favourite trip ever) and big decision son where we will live from 2022 onwards.

All of them challenging yet if I achieve my business goals they will be achievable.

I enjoy the opportunity to share my experiences with other marketers and it has enabled me to build a significant business over that time. I used to build blogs for members of my team, linking them to an autoresponder and other tools but now, I just manage my own blog and employ people to do the techie stuff when I need them.

You can link your blog to your social media to automate your posts and it really gets your message out there and it is ORGANIC. Once you have your WordPress site set up and you are posting your stuff, sharing it with your list and social media you are up and running.

Quickly seen  as a professional marketer , or expert in whatever niche you choose to theme your blog around. As per my recommendations in https://petechapman.biz/helpful-tools/ I link my wordpres sites to my Aweber autoresponder, giving a FREE gift to subscribers and then I can connect to my newsletter and share blog posts immediately after I write them. This gives me a spike in views as well as gaining new subscribers.

Currently I am using https://www.upwork.com/ or you will find people at https://www.fiverr.com/ to help you.

I am currently hosting this site with WPX.NET and in my opinion they just have the best support on offer out there. I would highly recommend WPX to get you started as they are fast and the support is awesome – instant!

Historically I had all sorts of problems with my original hosting service so I switched to WPX and I am very happy with them.

To give you an idea of what kind of  Theme and design you want I would definitely recommend searching the people you admire in your niche and then choose the theme and design they use or ask your developer to do that for you. As I said…. WPX could host your blog for you at a low monthly cost as well as choosing a domain and email account with them.

ORGANIC LEADS WITH A WORDPRESS BLOG

I think 90% of my personal sales and email newsletter subscribers have come from my wordpress websites and social media.

The more experienced I have got with these strategies , I simply do not have to purchase traffic at all. Much to the disappointment of the many solo ad providers who seem to target me daily on Facebook Messenger! LOL

I blogging to me is just a natural way of doing things nowadays. I just blog with a purpose of leaving information with my readership which hopefully will help them grow their home businesses to a level that gives them the same financial security as I have.

I am constantly learning and as I learn I share the learning with others. I think that is the way great teachers are created. Learn and then teach it.

In our industry, the network marketing industry, anything that puts your head above the parapet promotes you as a leader, a teacher, a coach.

So I definitely recommend you to go to upwork or fivver and appoint someone to get you a wordpress site set up, because at the end of it , you will be seen as at a much higher level than even your sponsors who do not use this strategy.

I would your own name if you can,  or a general niche and not centre it around a particular product or business opportunity. You want to make sure this can be a long term project. Your content can be specific but not the name and general description of the site. You can even get in trouble with your primary network marketing company if you do and anyway, you need to be prepared to make changes to your business focus over the long term.

There are a number of coaches now offering scripts for messenger or phone prospecting. I kind of stay away from strict scripts as I prefer to come across naturally and not like some autobot, but the guidance is very useful in my mind.

Certainly from a messenger point of view, my coaching in the DreamBuilder guide is to build relationships before you pitch anything. I just block or unfriend people who pitch me straight away.

The trick is to build rapport. Try to build a conversation about THEIR interests not your own. Show some empathy and real interest in their life – hobbies, where they live etc.

Don’t make a friend request without a message saying something like, “Hi. My name is Pete. I notice you are an affiliate/Network marketer like me. I wonder if we could connect on here to see if our mutual interests could help one another.”

Then, if they accept your request you can engage in conversation, always trying to refer to their profile info so they see you are interested in them not just in pitching them.

Scripts For Business

There are tons of books and guides on this out there for you to discover. But I suggest you build something that suits your personality and you don’t just become a robot or unnatural for you.

Here are a couple of introductory scripts that may be useful for you to get started.

Messenger

“Hi Firstname , I am currently working on a project that has produced great results for me. I think it would suit you. Would you be open to take a look?”

If yes….

“OK. Thankyou. If I shared a 10 minute video with you when do you think you will have time to view it?”

Agree a time and arrange a follow up.

Don’t forget to follow up because that is the key to our business – the follow up is where the sales are made.

Phone

“Hi Firstname. (develop a friendly conversation about them. ask good questions.) The reason I especially called you is that to let you know that I have developed a home working business that is proving to help me create a great secondary income. The product is world class and the income can prove to be substantial. Would  extra income help you in your life right now?”

YES?

Great. Would you find the time to watch a 10 minute video? etc”

NO?

“No worries. Keep me in mind if your circumstances change. I would still be able to help you in the future.”

Let the conversation flow naturally. Don’t be offended. You are the one who approached them. They are entitled not to be interested.

Remember, the more NO’s you get, the more YES’s will come in the future. Practice makes perfect. By the time you are on your way to making a significant ranking goal you will be able to teach this stuff to your team.

Objections

You can get all wrapped up in dealing with objections. There are often opportunities to turn things around. Price v Quality, MLM Pyramid, but if you have used your prospect qualification right then you should be talking to a door that is slightly ajar. I wouldn’t hurt your mind with too much stress about dealing with objections too radically. You don’t want to appear desperate and if you have chosen your business opportunity correctly there are many other fishes in the sea.

Always though ask the question, WHY? What don’t you like about what I have shared?

I was coached once with this script:

“I felt like that in the beginning, however what I found was ………….. and since then I have really benefitted from joining in the programme.”

You could use examples of the product working, the business being easier than you thought, your sponsor really helping you overcoming your nerves and doubts, examples of financial success and sales, quality vs cost.

Why not invite them to speak to your sponsor with you. Often hearing from a third party helps. There are many tales of prophets not being heard in their own villages but when they step away into the world their past does not prevent people from listening to them.

Social media has changed our lives forever. Our public profile, images and post will linger long after our passing.

I remember my days in the RAF as a young man, from 15 to 27 years old. If the images of my misdemeanours had been shared on social media, I would have struggled for employment long after, I think.

Nowadays employers investigate our output on social media. In our network marketing business, our prospects check us out right from the beginning. Engagement includes someone checking out your profile and historical posts.

Your political opinions, drunken party animal images, past business history, peoples comments about you are all laid bare for others to view and form opinions.

So, my friend, are you careful with your social media profile and posts. Are you continually building a positive brand and image.

History Coming Back to Bite You

A story in the UK news this week of a young football player with his career in front of him being hounded by an ill advised Tweet he made when he was just 15 years old!! Opinions long since passed but now brand him in a negative light it seems forever!

I have gone from one political view to massively change for another over the course of my lifetime. Had I sought a career in politics, my thoughts as a young man would have been used against me in my senior years.

Equally, if you are deemed a shiny new object network marketer, your brand is devalued when you begin to promote something you are really sure and passionate about.

I see lots of that on Facebook for sure. Networkers posting their brand new thing with a link and the only likes beneath the post are their own!! Very sad.
