Right now, though, I want to talk about a few concerns I have over the industry that have manifested in my life over the last few months!

1. Ethics of the company you associate with

It is important that you research the credentials of the company that is being introduced to you. Over the past few months there have been a number of companies in this sector that have failed, leaving dedicated home business owners devastated at income and credibility loss!

One such company was #Modere which virtually closed down without warning , leavng many distributors devastated and homeless having work really hard to be established! Then there are the Crypto Scams – taking $500 and more off people who were seduced by BIG promises only for their money to be taken and unable to get it back

SO BEWARE WHAT COMPANY YOU PARTNER WITH = CHOOSE WISELY!

2.  Ethics and Character of Your Direct Sponsor and The Team You are Joining!

Hugely important is the choice of direct sponsor and the team support system being offered!

Promises are not always kept. Support is not often given. This is critically important. Not just for those beginning in this industry… but the more experienced of us today.

For example…. I have had just 2 direct sponsors that I could honestly say had my whole interests at heart. Only 2 teams that were ALL IN when it comes to helping me and my group succeed.

Most MLM sponsors are purely “Transactional” . They are only interested in the volume. Their earnings!

This is important for your longevity in this industry. Attach yourself to the creme de la creme of a support and success line.

My current direct sponsor in Lovbeiome is my friend and mentor Dr Tamia Bethea Williams, who is wholly committed to my success AND the success of everyone in my team. She is a validated 7 figure earner and swich to Lovebiome because of the issues I raised in Issue 1.

3. Prepare Yourself for Jealousy and Envy

This shouldn’t happen of course…. but unfortunately it does!

I have had zoom presentations attacked by bots and scammers trying to break up team momentum. I have had unfounded accusations of cross line recruitment. Believe me… there are some sad people out there who want to spoil things for others because THEY are not as successful as you!

So choices Number 1 and Number 2 will be very helpful to you in these instances. A good company WILL support you against these people. A good sponsor will do also!

4. Don’t Let Your Company OWN YOU and the Business Choices You Make!

Why I chose my current company was in the main from reassurances from Dr Tamia, but when I met the European President of our company, Lovebiome, my commitment was certain. The products had worked for me, my sponsor was the best I could ever hope for, and the companies ethics were proven to me after meeting the corporate team.

But did you know that some companies will suspend your account if you chosse to do other Network Marketing Businesses. They DO NOT recognise that your MLM business and the work you put in it is YOURS!! So if you add another mlm to your portfolio and their compliance department found out, you could be suspended!

This happened to me last summer. A company I had worked hard in for 13 years suspended my account becausane I was marketing some other compatible business! I lost a lot of money…. but do you know I ‘d don’t regret it, because they highlighted what a nasty company they are!

So now… I have listened to my advice and began a new association with a truly ethical company who have science backed Microbiome product that work. A corporate team who are the best in class! Ethical, honest, compassionate, a company that is going to the top and a first class, distributor team led by THE most amazing, successful sponsor Dr Tamia Bethea Williams.

How could I continue to share a health product when I was struggling with my own health… I really couldn’t justify it. I wasn’t congruent with the mantra “no disease can survice in an alkaline body”!

So I went into virtual retirement… until…

Since the beginning of my marketing , whether part time or fulltime as I am now, I have always had a few different income streams.

From the tools and resources I recommend to my readers, to my primary network marketing business, to my day time job and now pensions. It just makes sense to have some strategies that offer income or investment growth while you maybe focus on your primary business.

Right now my primary revenue income comes from my Enagic business  and that is support by my pensions – lucky me. Come on, I’ve lived and worked pretty hard for those! So I am pretty comfortable without too much work. I worked for both of those pretty hard in my past, I can tell you.

For Enagic now I am beginning an offline seminar presentation programme in the UK if you would like to come and meet up – they are FREE and you will definitely get a flavour of what I do to build my network marketing business offline as well as an idea of how we work online too.

Anyway. What else do I do?

Well, I have affiliate interests in Lead Pages and Aweber  and I hold some cryptocurrency which has a low key referral programme.

And in the past I have referred people into online training programmes which has helped my readers with their social media marketing but also given me a little bit of side income to my primary.

I am always open to other things but tend to stay away from MLM or Network Marketing businesses that could take my attention away from my primary or show my team members that I don’t believe in the legacy nature of Enagic. Because that is my long term, legacy business that I will leave to my wife and family when I am gone. It is truly a long term, generational business with a quality product that offers us residual income.

Having a multiple stream of income strategy doesn’t mean one thing has to compete with another, if you plan your portfolio correctly.

For Crypto I am holding something that could make me a millionaire within a few months or it may never happen – I can share that with you if you are interested (not an affiliate just contact me directly) – but I don’t depend on it and I am pretty comfortable that I lose or gain a few dollars. Every business or investment has risk, right?

The main thing is for me, I have a few irons in the fire and some will work and some won’t but my primary business WILL and DOES work if I put the work in. I don’t depend upon anyone else. It is NOT speculation. It is assured if I maintain my activity and focus.

Everything else is a bonus side line which I can benefit from without too much effort apart from an initial investment and a little patience.

However, if you are into trading in financial, stock or crypto currency markets, then indeed you need to have your wits about you and keep your eye on the prize minute by minute. So be careful out there!

That isn’t for me. Far too much time required and I enjoy my golf and travel!

What I do not recommend is to have multiple MLM businesses. I just feel that to do that you are going to confuse your followers and team members. Most definitely not more than one in one particular niche. Most popular are health niche products. It would be best to focus on one product in that niche only. I know there are multiple solutions to health issues but MLM requires focus and team leadership. Just pick one and really go for it…. 10 x as Gant Cardone would say.

I am pretty open on this website where my focus is on my income streams. There are pages in here that lead you to them.

I was using clickfunnels but it just overwhelmed me and then my mentor, someone I had trusted for many years with my social media knowledge introduced me to LEADPAGES.NET  

It just made things so much simpler for me. Much easier to use and not as expensive. So I converted to Leadpages  and now my funnels on this page from my Working Together, UK Kangen Water Seminars and my Rocket Fuel Your Finances page are all built with LeadPages.net. Simple to use and reliable.

What are the advantages of Funnels?

Quite simply they act as a funnel into your offer. A capture page to attract attention to an offer,  and then collect contact details for your follow up.

I have heard for many years that “the money is in the list” and from my recent mentor, Grant Cardone, “money follows attraction” . So having a simple, single page funnel website to your offer is vital for your business. Funnel your contacts into your database.

No contact is ever wasted. If they do not buy from you now, they could do later down the line if you maintain a connection and your offer remains attractive.

Funnels for network marketers offer you individuality

Break out from the pack! Show your individuality as a network marketer by placing a funnel capture page linked to your own internet marketing autoresponder. You list becomes your list forever, whether you stay with your MLM business or move to another.

Marketing yourself is key in our industry nowadays. From social media to a web presence and you need to maximise your opportunity. Why should people join YOU instead of all the other marketers in your business opportunity, MLM or Affiliate Marketing product? Give them a reason to LIKE you! Remember, LIKE , KNOW , TRUST! Making individualised internet marketing funnels is key for your progress!

That is why I have always used my Aweber account to link with my websites.

I has given me a list over 15 years that has built to 1000’s of marketers . Some of them have taken years to decide but I am always here to help them if they need me and slowly but surely they can be persuaded to give my offers a go.

Some people have joined my primary network marketing business after many years. They just weren’t ready at the time I made them aware the first time. They probably wanted to see how I did before they made their own move.

So having that constant connection can pay off big time in the end.

Whichever FUNNEL creation programme you use, I would definitely recommend you begin to explore them for your business or businesses.

This week I have been awakened through a new mentor and training course that perhaps I would have benefitted from a while ago. They say when the student is ready, the teacher appears.

This was true for me 10 years ago when my Enagic sponsor encouraged me to join him in our Kangen Water adventure. He appeared in my life at just the right time. I was desperate financially and not in a good place health wise.

Our business changed all that.

Now I have just begun a new journey with a mentor who knows more about marketing in his little finger than I have ever learned before.

I was ready!

More about that at a later date.

New Opportunities

One of the things I have been closed to are the endless pitches I receive on new network marketing opportunities. I have never bought into the multiple streams of network marketing income. Other streams of income, yes, but mixing MLM opportunities just screams to me that initial promises didn’t work so let’s try another one!

I especially find it amusing that members of my own organisation, who haven’t applied the training and strategies within it, pitch me for a new MLM opportunity when they have clearly not succeeded in anything before or likely never will because they do not apply themselves or think long term.

Multiple streams of income is good in my view. Add an affiliate programme or two, especially training programmes that help with marketing your current MLM.  Invest in whatever you want, property, stocks and financial markets etc. Be open to those.

So, I am open, but it will take something very appealing, something I can be passionate about, something I can find integrity with, something that I can confidently share with my best friends without feeling a twinge of doubt!

What Does It Take To Succeed In Network Marketing?

The clue is in the name.

1. We need to Network. We need to seek out other like minded souls who want to build an entrepreneurial business.

2. We need to Market. However you prefer to do that there are multiple ways of learning how to Market your business.

Being open to change in the way you approach these two things will help you grow your network marketing business on a daily basis.

A couple of my mentors shared similar wisdom when I asked for their success secrets in our industry.

1. My direct sponsor told me there were 3 things I had to do to succeed. 1. Talk to people. 2. Talk to people. 3. Talk to people

2. His sponsor asked me: ” How many strangers do you know?” We were in London where 8 million people live! There were 8 million strangers.

He also told me to seek resellers. There is faster growth when you seek out people who want to get rich through marketing your product! Much slower if you are going to sell one product at a time.

Grant Cardone says: CONTACTS = CONTRACTS! In other words if you don’t build your list you will never sell a product, opportunity or deal of any kind. Building your contact list is THE most vital thing for any business owner.

It is all about LEADS, LEADS, LEADS!!!

On top of that, you need to build relationships.

So…..

I have opened myself up to new marketing strategies and training

I have filled up the last few days with new training. Challenged myself to embracing new strategies. New work ethic. New approaches. I am being open to doing things I feel uncomfortable with.

This has forced me to get uncomfortable in many ways but particularly in making NEW TARGETS. Uncomfortable and very challenging targets.

And as I come out of the other side of all this, I will be sharing it with you. Ways in which YOU can succeed in our industry, the network marketing industry.

How we can help our customers through our products. Help our team members grow. Serve them all and reap the rewards!

Do Something Different

Many years ago, when I was in the corporate world of management, I was given the task of turning round a failing business.

It was a really different culture to what I was used to. The staff were rough shodding over the management and there was very little focus and discipline.

At the time our management organisation was being trained by some management consultants. You know the thing. Balanced score cards, quality management. All that kind of stuff.

Anyway, I took the lead consultant to one side and asked him what would he do in my situation going into the workplace warzone!

He said: “Whatever you do, you must be seen to do something different on the first day. No matter how small or innocuous ”

And I did. It unsettled confidence in the rebels and brought in those who really wanted to do a good job.

Wherever I went, and I was an interim management consultant for a few years, when I initially went in the work place I changed something immediately. It got peoples attention and identified to me the people who wanted to do the work to the highest level.

I just found, not accepting the status quo was the best approach if you wanted to change things for the better and the sooner you do it the sooner you build a team of positive people around you.

So My Tip Today is:

GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE AND DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT! BE OPEN TO CHANGE!

Does that sound a little silly to you? A lot of people start a network marketing business without any targets – financial or rank goals. That’s not you, is it?

You see if you don’t have an end in mind then you don’t have the discipline to take the daily actions to achieve it.

I remember when I was coached by Tony Robbins appointed mentor she taught me to set a big goal and to chunk it down into achievable actions and goals.

So if your target is to earn a million dollars in say 2 years, then making that reverse engineering maths division will give you a monthly and weekly goal of sales or recruitments.

One of my targets for my primary network marketing business,  is to reach €1,000,000 of commissions in 2 years equals about 50/75 group sales per month depending upon the unit and rank of those making the sales. I have reached that goal quite often but now I need to make that consistent.

I have other business interests of course. So I will set targets for those and likewise plan my activities into daily actions on how I am to achieve them.

CLARITY IS THE KEY!

One of my mentors always talks about having clarity. Clarity of purpose. Clarity of understanding the actions needed to achieve specific goals.

I must admit I have been pretty lazy with my focus lately. I got comfortable. Enjoyed the fruits of 10 years work building up a residual income and dropped the ball on forward momentum.

That has changed today!

Why has it changed? I have started with a new mentor. So it has basically kicked me up the backside.

I am all newly focused with a definitely plan of action. Sometimes it just takes a little jolt to shake you into action.

The comfort zone is a definite killer of ambition and action, don’t you think?

So I am setting new long term targets with a daily action plan to get me there. Not so much golf and T.V. and more action steps to get me to some really challenging goals.

Thing is, it’ll be worth it.

CHUNKING IT DOWN

Whatever network marketing business you are partnering with at the moment they will have a compensation plan and a ranking system.

Why don’t you set a one year goal, say of achieving a 6 figure income per your first year in whatever currency you are going for -that’s $£€8,333 per month . Say reach 8,333 for the last month of the year and then maintain it for the following year and beyond.

What will it take in sales to make 8,333 a month in commissions? For me that is 4 direct sales a month or the equivalent in indirect sales. For you it may mean up to 50 autoships a month. Work it out.

Then reverse engineer it to what your daily targets are and then work out what actions you need to take to achieve that goal.

It may mean social media postings, messenger/linkedin connections, advertising, solo ads, emails, phone calls,presentations etc

Just work it out and stick to it until you have achieved your goal.

Remember what the great Jim Rohn said. It is all about percentages. If you make 10 calls and that results in 2 sales that is good…. because you can make 100 calls and then that makes 20 sales! Just work the percentages.

DAILY ACTION STEPS LEAD TO SUCCESS IN MLM

I honestly started this blog to help anyone wants to succeed in any network marketing business but I cannot disguise that it is great when some of my readers decide to join me in my business because thn I can help them directly.

But there is no real secret to succeeding in our industry. It is daily action steps on generating leads, making connections and closing sales.

Having a long term goal to work towards is vital so you can chunk down those daily action steps to achieve it.

Some daily action steps you could take:

1. Build your social media following by creating content to create engagement daily: Facebook, Instagram, Youtube especially

2. Reaching out via FB Messenger, Linkedin to make new connections and building relationships

3. Staying connected with your team and help keep them on track and motivated

4. Using ads to drive traffic to your marketing funnel

5. Build and communicate with your email list

6. Stay connected to your sponsor and upline and tap into your company training

The post What Is Your Target? Do You Really Know What You Are Aiming For? first appeared on Pete Chapman.

It has been the foundation of my life since I realised that you cannot really, truly find happiness if you do not treat people with respect and act within true principles.

The greatest teachers the world has ever known have taught the principles of love and forgiveness. Letting go. Living in the present. Being present. From the Buddha to Jesus to the greatest community leaders we have known. Martin Luther King, Mahatma Gandhi, Sister Teresa, Nelson Mandela all shared similar principles.

I cannot pretend that I have mastered all the teachings of our religious, spiritual or community leaders. I am certainly not perfect, but I try to live with this principle of #BeKind. Even though I often find it difficult I try to let go and live in the present.

I think this is my major difficulty – letting go of the past. So many regrets.

However I find that if I keep to my principles of #BeKind with my network marketing business, I have had no regrets. I lead with this principle in mind. I try to teach it as best I can. I try to find the time that everyone in my team needs, no matter how deep they are in my organisation.

This has sometimes meant that I have had to correct some people in my organisation as they have strayed from good principles to underhanded actions thinking that money making is what it is all about, when the reality is that build that LIKE, KNOW, TRUST thing is a forever activity not just ending at the initial sale!

My last post talked about those SLIDING DOOR moments. Different actions leading to different outcomes. I believe though, that as long as our decisions are considered, thoughtful and with a good heart, then most of the time they turn out in a good way.

My current network marketing business has served me well. It has led to me receiving a residual income from very little effort – even in times of difficulty where I couldn’t work – it has provided a good income for me and my family.

So, some tips if you want to use this principle in your network marketing business:

1. Accept people for who they are and where they are in our industry
2. Have patience with newbies
3. Be the best sponsor you can be. Whether you are top of the tree or just getting started. Care about those people who follow you and guide them as best you can
4. Lean on those above you who inspire you and have time to teach you. Just being one step ahead is giving you something you can teach others.
5. Work your business deep. By this I mean, do not neglect the team members who are recruited by others. Often they can become orphans without leadership as their sponsors neglect them. Keep them as active as possible through your leadership and guidance
6. Develop good communication systems to keep your team informed and supportive of one another. I use Whatsapp and Facebook groups but you can use any method you feel is useful to you.
7. Set as good an example as you are able. From your activity to your manner of work, from your patience and support of others.
8. Teach what has worked for you and as best as possible give examples of how it works.
9. Be honest in your dealings. Do not cross a line you will regret having done so later.
10. Be a stayer – don’t flit around from one business to another. If you stay the course, others will too.
11. Remember KARMA. For every action there is a reaction. Make your actions the right ones and the right results

Life is full of those sliding doors moments, don’t you think? Remember that movie, Sliding Doors?

Two scenarios took place. One where the character rushed to catch a train after being fired from her job and caught it and another when she missed it. Circumstances effecting her life changed dramatically, one where she ended up miserable and the other where she gradually improves her life.

How many times have you asked those questions? If only I had taken that decision or moved in that direction.

I remember Tony Robbins sharing with us that;

“It is in our decisions our destiny is formed.”

It is true, isn’t it? Each and every day we make decisions, from deciding when to get out of bed, what actions to take during the day etc.

Too often though we refect too much on the past and regret some of those decisions we made. I can certainly look back at some of the decisions I have made with some regret. However I know this to my cost that too much reflection can cause dither and loss of forward momentum. We can completely stall our future goal achievement by investing in too much regret.

This is very much a business blog designed to help people move forward in their network or affiliate marketing businesses of choice. So how can What if, Maybe reflections cause you to stall in your forward thinking and goal achievement?

Well, sometimes we can just fail to take action because we previously didn’t succeed in something totally unrelated or perhaps certain strategies haven’t worked out. Maybe teachings didn’t suit you but did work for others?

But we just need to accept there are pitfalls along the road to success. You have seen the success memes, right? The icebergs and the 3 feet from gold visuals?

For us as network marketers those shiny object temptations are always there to tempt us away from our good decisions of the past. Sometimes hard work begins to chip away at our belief and we can walk away from something that works towards something that promises us instant riches when in fact it is just as hard work when we strip away the shiny new  wrapping paper.

Let’s think about this indecision and doubt.

If it is to be it is up to me

That was a motivational quote on each table of a network marketing company seminar I went to many years ago. A company that I was the top retailer for in the 1980’s. I worked my nuts off to live that dream until the day they pulled the plug.

I did the same for Success University. Boy, I learned a ton of stuff from my mentor about email marketing and solo ads and just as I was about to push through and win at last, the plug was pulled and it went under.

But all the time that was happening, I was learning. I was building up my network marketing C.V.

I didn’t stop and ask What If? I moved on to the next opportunity and have ended with a residual income from my current business, something I have been active in for nearly 10 years.

All the time during those 10 years I have been tempted by friends to move onto something new and tempting. I just never saw the need. But sometimes, when there is a lull in sales, like during the Covid-19 pandemic, perhaps a What If comes along to tempt me.

Then my decision making just maybe, maybe, might create one of those sliding doors moments. Do I stay or do I go…. and of course, I have always stayed because the business I have has hundreds of people just like me who are still believing they can achieve their dreams through our current project!

I feel a responsibility for them. Just like my 3 children, my step children, my 9 grandchildren, I feel a responsibility for setting a good example. My network marketing team have trusted me either directly or indirectly and that is sometimes how leaders fail.

As a network marketing sponsor you take on other peoples dreams. They are often sold that the opportunity we promote, not always by sponsors but by companies, that lives can be changed for the positive , either through the products or through the compensation plans if they just buy into something.

That often means people just think that buying something leads to success, when in fact it requires hard work.

One of my mentors in my main opportunity has 1.6 million high ticket sales under them and a residual monthly income of high 6 figures! Do you think that happened without hard work from them or their team leaders? NO! It requires total commitment. No Maybe’s or What If’s. Full on commitment. Total determination and application.

Why am I writing this post?

If you have read this far, you can probably tell that I have had a bit of a moment of decision making. When I have looked at where I am in business, I have realised that IF IT IS TO BE, IT’S UP TO ME!

I am not going to be looking back at my network marketing business in a couple of years and think, What If or Maybe, I recognise that my financial destiny is in my own hands and I do not need to look elsewhere for my fortune. It is already within my reach.

I took a step back in time today and reread Who Moved My Cheese by Dr Spencer Johnson. I was introduced to the book at work a very long time ago and I shared it with family. My daughter was having a clearout so I said I would have it and having read it again, I really appreciate the life lessons it brings for me right now. It might help you too!

Anyway, Change…. how do you manage it?

I think for marketers it really is a good thing to relook at what we are doing with our business because, just like Hem in the book, we can get stuck in a rut and the world begins to pass us buy. Little by little we can fall behind of the trends and advances in our industry and we can find it hard to update our approaches without a bit of pain.

On reading the book again I recognise that I have been in Hem mode for a few months and I need to begin to relook at how I am approaching my business because I don’t want to fall behind.

This Covid-19 pandemic has massively interrupted my Enagic business. I was doing regular offline seminars across the UK up until the UK lockdown started. So it has been really difficult to showcase my business by doing public presentations in live, physical situations and we have reverted to ZOOM presentations.

This reduces the connection to new customers but adaption has had to happen for sure as it is important that we don’t just give up but that we find new ways.  We  need to get back in the maze and search for New Cheese.

What Holds Us Back From Making Changes?

I think often there is a fear within us that stops us. I remember what Tony Robbins taught me many years ago. Decisions are made through the feelings of pleasure and pain.

So is it painful to change or is there pleasure in what lies ahead? W hat lies on the other side if we cast away our fear and take a step into the unknown?

One of the big decisions I have to consider this year is do I permanently move to Thailand for a new adventure or do I remain in the UK to continue to be nearer to my children and grandchildren? I am certainly in two minds and perhaps there is a little bit of Hem in me that resists making the move. Anyway, the decision will be made this year once the Covid situation has improved and I get answers to my questions. It may be a half way house of more time in Thailand to our house over there but treat out house there as a holiday home. Really not sure, but one thing is for certain, I WILL make a decision this year.

What decisions are you facing?

Are you happy with your current business? Do you need to make changes so that it works better for you? Perhaps you are looking for something new to plant your entrepreneurs hat on?

One thing is for sure, none of us can stand still and expect to have a forward projection in our lives.

When I worked as a leisure and sports industry manager I became passionate about quality management and I hung my hat on a Japanese word that kind of encompassed what I aimed for in the work place – Kaizen.

Kaizen means Continuous and Never Ending Improvement.

If we strive to be improving in all that we do then we will never stand still and our lives and work will continue to thrive. We used to talk about Total Quality Management, striving for perfection,  but in human terms, we know that perfection isn’t within us, we just need to be the best we can be. No-one is perfect.

So if we are a little like Haw and don’t stand still and keep searching, striving then we will not be left behind and we will have wonderful adventures.

I have been around a very long time – 73 years at the time of writing – and I have had many an adventure and in truth I really don’t want it to end.

So reading Who Moved My Cheese today really got me thinking what my next adventure will be. What my next business strategy will be? How am I going to keep advancing in my life to feel fulfilled each day.

It has given me a few ideas and that is what the book is all about, don’t you think? In fact all our learning, reading, watching, experiencing is designed to help us get further forward in our lives.

That is why I share these thoughts with you today. WE ALL DESERVE ADVENTURE IN OUR LIVES!

Standing still is not an option for us if we want to have experiences that are worth remembering in our last days! No regrets.
